A few posts backward I got a request from a couple of readers about introducing the hair products I use. I didn't think that someone would actually care about things that I put in my hair, so I was a little surprised
(positively, of course!). So here are all the products I use nearly on a daily basis on my hair;
Sain muutama postaus takaperin pyynnön parilta lukijalta, että esittelisin hiustuotteita mitä käytän. En ole koskaan ajatellut että ketään kiinnostaisi mitä pistän hiuksiini, joten olin vähän yllättynyt (positiivisesti, tietenkin!). Joten tässä on kaikki tuotteet mitä käytän lähes päivittäin hiuksiini;
Starting from the shampoo - right now I'm using L'oréal Elvital Anti-Breakage due to my dry ends, but I'm actually not very brand loyal when it comes to shampoos and so I basically use anything. My favorite shampoo would probably be Trésemme or Syoss for color-treated hair, due to the lovely scents and huge packaging. I have long hair, so shampoo is always the first thing I run out from.
Shampoosta aloittaen - tällä hetkellä käytän L'oréal Elvital Anti-Breakage kuivien latvojeni vuoksi, mutta en ole oikeastaan kovinkaan merkkiuskollinen shampoiden suhteen ja olenkin käyttänyt ihan kaikkia mahdollisia tuotteita. Suosikkini tähän mennessä olisi varmaan Trésemmen tai Syossin värjätyille hiuksille tarkoitetut shampoot niiden ihanan tuoksun ja koon vuoksi, sillä näin pitkähiuksisena sitä shampoota tulee läträttyä kunnolla ja se useimmiten loppuukin ensimmäisenä.
I don't have a conditioner at the moment since I've run out of it, but I used to use the conditioner from Elvital as well and also Aussie 3-Minute Miracle Reconstructor, and both were pretty good (especially the scent in Aussie, ah!). I only put conditioner on my ends because they are so dry due to all curling and straightening, but my hair is fine otherwise. I have no idea what conditioner to try next, any ideas?
Minulla ei ole tällä hetkellä hoitoainetta käytössä sillä se on päässyt loppumaan, mutta käytin ennen saman merkin hoitoainetta sekä Aussie 3-Minute Miracle Reconstructor, ja molemmat olivat mielestäni hyviä (etenkin Aussien tuoksu, ah!). Käytän yleensä hoitoainetta vain latvoihini sillä ne ovat niin kuivat kaikesta suoristamisesta ja kihartamisesta. En tiedä yhtään mitä hoitoainetta ostaisin seuraavaksi, onko teillä ehdotuksia?
After washing my hair and making it towel-dry, I start to apply
serums and
oils.
Proton Silky Hair Coat is an oil I got as a recommendation from my friend during my first year of high school when I still wore extensions
(and my hair is now longer than my extensions ever were, pretty cool huh?) and the extentions needed to be oiled in order for them to look shiny. Now I use it on my ends after shower, and it works like a miracle as my hair becomes super soft. You can get this oil from
Cyber Shop, the price is around 12 euros and it is imported from Thailand. The oil I use is a fruited one, but they also have an aloe vera and avocado. I can highly recommend it!
Kun hiukseni ovat pesty ja pyyhekuivat, alan levittää niihin seerumeita ja öljyjä. Proton Silky Hair Coat on öljy mitä tuli lukion ykkösellä hankittua kaverin suosituksesta, sillä minulla oli silloin vielä pidennykset mitkä vaativat paljon hoitoa (ja nykyään omat hiukseni ovat huomattavasti pidemmät kuin pidennykseni koskaan olivat, aika siistiä eikö?). Nyt käytän öljyä latvoihini suihkun jälkeen, sillä se toimii kuin unelma kun hiuksistani tulee silkkisen pehmeät. Tätä öljyä saa Cyber Shopista noin 12 eurolla, ja on maahantuotu Thaimaasta. Käyttämäni öljy on hedelmäinen, mutta saatavilla on myös aloe vera ja avocado. Voin lämpimästi suositella sillä tämä on myös todella riittoisaa, muutama tippa kerralla riittää!
Whenever I'm not using the silky oil (which I've been using a lot more just recently), I like to use Tigi Bed Head Ego Boost, which is a leave-in conditioner for the ends. This is really good and I love the scent of it! The only problem I would say is the stickiness it leaves to your ends when it dries, but after you brush through your ends they become incredibly soft. Tigi is pretty expensive here in Finland, so I recommend everyone to order them online from British stores like I did.
Silloin kun en käytä silkkitippoja (mitä olen viime aikoina käyttänyt enemmän), tykkään käyttää Tigi Bed Head Ego Boost - latvasuojaa. Tämä on todella hyvää ja rakastan sen tuoksua! Ainoa ongelma on pieni tahmaisuus ja kokkareisuus minkä se jättää hiuksiin kuivuttuaan, mutta harjattuasi latvat läpi siitä tulee uskomattoman pehmeä. Tigi on melko kallista täällä Suomessa, joten suosittelen kaikkia tilamaan tuotteita esimerkiksi Brittiläisistä nettikaupoista, kuten itsekin tein.
When getting the ends done, it's time for heat protection spray and/or leave-in conditioner. Sometimes I use both but then my hair gets greasy faster, so usually I just apply the heat protection as I'm going to blow-dry and straighten/curl my hair afterwards. If I'm not going anywhere, I only spray the leave-in conditioner and let my hair dry by itself without interaction with heat.
Hoidettuani latvat, on seuraavassa vuorossa lämpösuoja ja/tai hiuksiinjätettävä hoitoaine. Joskus käytän molempia mutta sitten hiukseni rasvoittuvat nopeammin, joten yleensä käytän vain lämpösuojaa sillä föönaan ja suoristan/kiharran hiukseni. Jos en ole menossa minnekään, suihkutan runsaasti hiuksiinjätettävää hoitoainetta ja annan hiusteni kuivua rauhassa ilman lämpökäsittelyä.
Trésemme Heat Defence was my first heat protection spray ever, and so it has become my favorite. I tried one from Franck Provost in between, but I just had to go back to the good old Trésemme. The scent is lovely and one bottle can last for a good amount of time, so I can highly recommend it.
Trésemme Heat Defence oli ensimmäinen lämpösuojani koskaan, ja se onkin sen vuoksi muodostunut suosikikseni. Kokeilin Franck Provostin lämpösuojaa siinä välissä, mutta olen aina palannut vanha kunnon Trésemmeen. Tuoksu tässä on ihana ja yksi pullo kestää käytössä kauan, joten voin lämpimästi suositella.
Sunsilk Smooth&Shiny Nourishing Oil Spray for Dry Hair is something I got on sale for 3,95€, so I didn't really have any high expectations. This is however pretty good! The spray has two layers, one with conditioner and one with oil including oils such as Moroccan argan oil. I could buy this again if I would find it on sale, but I like to experiment so if you guys have any recommendations on leave-in conditioners please let me know! So far my favorite one has been Schwarzkopf BC Bonacure Moisture Kick, but it's a salon product and thus a little expensive in the long run.
Sunsilk Smooth&Shiny Nourishing Oil Spray for Dry Hair tuli ostettua hintaan 3,95€, joten minulla ei ollut mitään suuria odotuksia sen suhteen. Tämä kuitenkin yllätti positiivisesti! Suihkeessa on kaksi kerrosta, toinen hoitoaineella ja toinen öljyllä (mm. Marokkolaista arganöljyä). Voisin ostaa tätä uudestaan mikäli löytäisin halvalla, mutta pidän kokeilusta joten jos teillä on mitään suosituksia niin kertokaa ihmeessä! Tähänastinen suosikkini on ollut Schwarzkopf BC Bonacure Moisture Kick, mutta salonkituote kun on niin sen käyttö tulee olemaan melko kallista pidemmän päälle.
When styling my hair, I usually use two products - hairspray and hair mousse. Trésemme Salon Finish Extra Control Mousse is pretty good, but I've used better ones from e.g. L'oréal so I would much rather recommend those. I usually curl my hair pretty extempore, but if I've decided to have long-lasting curls I apply hair mousse in my hair when it's still wet, then blow-dry it and then start to curl as it makes the curls much stronger and also last longer.
Hiuksia stailatessa käytän yleensä vain kahta tuotetta - hiuslakkaa ja muotovaahtoa. Trésemme Salon Finish Extra Control Mousse on ihan hyvää, mutta olen kokeillut parempia esim. L'oréalilta joten suosittelisin mieluummin niitä. Kiharran yleensä hiukseni hetken mielijohteesta, mutta jos olen päättänythankkia kestävämmät kiharat niin pistän pyyhekuiviin hiuksiin muotovaahtoa, jonka jälkeen föönaan ja kiharran ne - näin kiharista tulee paljon vahvemmat ja myös kestävät kauemmin.
Tigi Bed Head Maxxxed-Out is a non-aerosol hairspray that I ordered from the UK, simply because they don't ship products which have aerosol in them. This is quite long lasting, but I really don't like the scent of it so I would not buy it again. My favorite market hair spray has been from Trésemme, and from the salon products I would say Tigi Bed Head Hard Head.
Tigi Bed Head Maxxxed-Out on ponnekaasuton hiuslakka minkä tilasin Briteistä, ihan vaan siksi ettei ponnekaasullisia hiuslakkoja tai muita tuotteita toimiteta ulkomaille. Tämä on melko kestävää tavaraa, mutta en oikein pidä sen tuoksusta joten en ostaisi uudestaan. Suosikki hiuslakkani markettituotteista on tähän mennessä ollut Trésemme, ja salonkituotteista pitääkin mainita Tigi Bed Head Hard Head.
I wash my hair around every other day, so in between washes it needs so refresment. I've used dry shampoo ever
since 8th grade and I've tried nearly all market ones (except the
newest, e.g. L'oréal) and salon ones (Toni&Guy etc) as well, but
nothing simply wins Batiste dry shampoos. This XXL volume one is my favorite, as it makes my hair poofier as well.
I
used to hoard bottles and bottles of these during our London trips
since they are only about 2-3 pounds a bottle there, but now they are
avaible in Kicks for a pretty affordable 5-6 euros a bottle. So if
anyone is in a need for dry shampoo, try Batiste since it's simply the
best and I promise you will not be disappointed (Batiste should hire me
after this speech...).
Pesen hiukseni n. joka toinen päivä, joten pesujen välissä hiukseni kaipaavat hieman raikastusta. Olen käyttänyt kuivashampoota 8.
luokalta asti ja olenkin käynyt lähes kaikki markettien (uusimpia
lukuunottamatta, esim. L'oréal) ja salonkien (Toni&Guy jne)
kuivashampoot läpi, mutta mikään ei yksinkertaisesti voita Batisten
kuivashampoita. Tämä XXL volume on suosikkini, sillä se tekee hiuksistani myös tuuheammat.
Hamstrasin
ennen Batisten kuivashampoita Lontoo-reissuillani purkkikaupalla, sillä
niitä myydään paikallisissa kosmetiikkakaupoissa 2-3 punnan
kappalehinnalla, mutta nykyään näitä saakin Kicksistä kohtuulliseen 5-6
euron kappalehintaan. Joten mikäli etsit kuivashampoota, kokeile
Batistea sillä tämä on yksinkertaisesti parasta ja voin luvata, ettette
tule pettymään (ja Batisten pitäisi palkata minut tämän puheen
jälkeen...).
When it comes to hair brush, I got my first Tangle
Teezer 3 years ago and I'm most definitely never going to use anything
else. Whenever I use a normal hairbrush I'm almost in pain, simply
because this is so good and gentle! The price for Tangle Teezers are
anything around 10 to 16 euros I think and they can be bought in pretty
much any store nowadays. Mine was 15 euros and I got it from a hair
salon back then.
Hiusharjasta sanon vaan sen, että ostin Tangle Teezerin 3 vuotta sitten, enkä mitä todennäköisemmin ole enää palaamassa muihin harjoihin. Aina
välillä tavallista hiusharjaa käyttäessäni olen melkein tuskissani,
niin mukava ja hellä tämä on! Tangle Teezerit maksavat mitä tahansa 10
ja 16 euron väliltä, ja käsittääkseni niitä saa nykyään melkeimpä mistä
kaupasta tahansa. Omani maksoi aikoinaan 15 euroa ja ostin sen kampaamosta.
So
here are the products I use! I don't know if this was much use since I
didn't even introduce all of my favorite products that I always go back
to, but like I said I like experimenting new things to potentially find
new favorite ones. I hope this was useful at least to someone!
