As I mentioned in yesterday's post, my gifts this year were far better than I had expected or even dared to dream of. I was really really happy of everything that I got, it was way more than I needed. I guess I've been really good this year! So here are the gifts of 2014;

Kuten mainitsin eilisen postauksessani, sain tänä vuonna lahjoja mitkä olivat paljon paremmat kuin mitä odotin tai edes uskalsin haaveilla saavani. Olen tainnut olla kiltisti tänä vuonna! Tässä vuoden 2014 joulun lahjat;

Super cute pajama pants and slippers from my mom. I've been living in these pants since I got them, and the slippers are super warm since it can get pretty cold in my mom's apartment. Love them!

Supersöpöt pyjamahousut ja tossut äidiltäni. Olen asunut näissä housuissa siitä asti kun sain ne, ja nämä tossut lämmittävät ihanasti kun äidin asunnossa on aika kylmä. Tykkään!

Beyoncé Heat Wild Orchid from my dad, yaay! I also got a taxi card, which has 50 euros loaded in and I think it might come in handy some night out clubbing. The alcohol and chocolate were from the cruise my dad went on a few days before Christmas, but at least I got my Christmas chocolate I wished for.

Beyoncé Heat Wild Orchid isältäni, jee! Sain myös taksikortin mihin on ladattu 50 euroa, ja uskon sen tulevan käyttöön viikonloppuöisin jos en pääse esimerkiksi bussilla enää kotiin. Suklaa ja alkoholit tulivat oikeastaan laivatuliaisina kun isäni oli laivalla muutama päivä ennen Joulua, mutta sainpahan sitä toivomaani Joulusuklaata.

 

Some kitchen equipment and Lexington oven mit from my dear friend. I love these, especially the oven mit since I once told her that I would buy it once I move to my own apartment. Now I don't have to, thanks to her <3

A bottle of red wine and a 50 euro gift card to K-Citymarket from my workplace! I was really flattered about the gift card since I didn't think that I would get one cause I'm pretty new there, but I guess hard work pays. 

Pullo punaviiniä ja 50 euron lahjakortti K-Citymarketiin työpaikaltani! Olin todella otettu lahjakortista, sillä en uskonut saavani sellaista kun olen sen verran uusi mutta kova työ palkitaan näköjään.

A selfie stick from my other friend! She completely read my mind cause I was thinking about suggesting it, but I didn't even have to cause I got it anyways. Thank you A <3

Selfie-keppi toiselta ystävältäni! Hän luki ajatukseni täysin, sillä tarkoituksena oli ehdottaa kyseistä lahjaa mutta en saanut aikaiseksi eikä selvästikään tarvinnut. Kiitos A <3

And last but not least, the present I got for myself since I've been working so much this fall (I don't know if you're supposed to show presents you buy for yourself, but I'm still going to haha) - a pair of Timberlands. I didn't want the short ones since I feel like they're quite popular now, but I haven't seen anyone with these so I knew they were perfect. Unique and beautiful, I love them so much and can't wait to wear them daily since the weather is perfect for that now!

Ja viimeisenä muttei vähäisimpänä, lahja minkä ostin itselleni syksyn kovan työmoraalin kunniaksi (en tiedä kuuluuko itselleen ostamiaan lahjoja esitellä mutta esittelempä kuitenkin, haha) - Timberlandit. En halunnut lyhytvartisia sillä koen niiden olevan melko suositut nyt, mutta näitä en ole nähnyt vielä kellään joten tiesin niiden olevan täydelliset mulle. Uniikit ja kauniit, tykkään näistä niin paljon enkä malta odottaa että pääsen käyttämään niitä päivittäin nyt kun sääkin on siihen täydellinen!

I got some other small things as well such as cosmetics and such which I didn't take pictures of. I just want to thank everyone for all the gifts I got, like I said they were everything and more than I wished for.

Hello to all readers and happy December! 

Everyone who knows me must know that I am one of the most Christmas-orientated people out there, so it was no wonder that I cleaned and decorated the whole apartment (and balcony!) yesterday according to holiday spirits. I also made some Christmas tarts and drank some mulled while while doing my school work today. Christmas is by far my most favourite holiday, and I just can't wait to get my paycheck so that I can do some serious present shopping! I'm also missing some important things to complete my Christmas of 2013, maybe I'll post them here once I get them...

Hei kaikille lukijoille ja ihanaa joulukuuta sinnekin! 

Kaikki jotka tuntevat minut tietävät, että olen ehkä yksi maailman suurimmista joulun ystävistä, joten se ei ollut mikään ihme kun eilen päätin siivota ja koristella meidän koko asunnon (parveketta myöten!) juhlapyhän mukaisesti. Leivoin myös vähän joulutorttuja, joita nautiskelin tänään glögin kera kouluhommia tehdessä. Joulu on ehdottomasti suosikkini kaikista juhlapyhistä, enkä malttaisi millään odottaa että saisin palkkani niin pääsen tekemään vähän lahjaostoksia! Lahjojen lisäksi täytyy tehdä muutama pikkuhankinta täydentääkseni omaa jouluani vuodelle 2013, ehkä teen niistäkin sitten postausta kunhan saan ne ensin hankittua...

Bought this little Buddha candle stand yesterday from Tiger. I don't know why I fell for it so much, I just had to have it and the 3€ price wasn't really an obstacle. Now it sits on my make up stand next to the other candle stands. 

I'm just crazy for everything they sell in Tiger, the decor items are just awesome! Sometimes I wish that I could already live on my own, I would probably buy everything from Tiger.

Ostin tämän pienen Buddha-kynttiläjalustan eilen Tigerista. En tiedä miksi ihastuin siihen niin kovasti, minun oli vaan pakko saada se eikä 3€ hinta ollut mikään este. Nyt se istuu meikkipöytäni päällä muiden kynttilötelineiden kanssa. 

Olen aivan hulluna kaikkeen mitä Tigerissa myydään, ne sisustusjutut on vaan mahtavia! Joskus toivon, että asuisin jo omillani, ostaisin luultavasti kaiken Tigerista.

Stuff I bought from Ikea today. I've been needing some better storing boxes for keeping my things in 

order, and I found some really nice ones from Ikea that I just had to go buy. The candles and candlesticks

were just for fun, as I love scented candles. 

It's been like 10 years since I've been to Ikea, that was when we moved back to Finland from The States and Taiwan. Today was my first time at the Ikea in Raisio, which is funny since it really isn't that far away from where I live. 

Tänään Ikeasta ostettuja juttuja. Olen jo vähän aikaa tarvinnut parempia säilytysjuttuja pitääkseni tavarani järjestyksessä, ja löysin muutamia tosi kivoja Ikeasta mitkä oli vaan pakko käydä noutamassa. Tuikut ja kynttilänjalat olivat lähinnä huvin vuoksi, sillä rakastan tuoksukynttilöitä. 

Siitä on joku 10 vuotta kun kävin viimeksi Ikeassa, se oli sitä aikaa kun muutimme takaisin Suomeen Jenkeistä ja Taiwanista. Tänään oli ensimmäinen vierailuni Raision Ikeassa, mikä on aika hassua sillä se ei edes ole kovin kaukana.

My jewellery corner, which is on my nightstand next to my bed. This corner has been a problem for a while already, since my jewellery collection keeps on growing but my storing spaces stay the same. It's difficult to find the things I want without turning the whole place upside down and making a terrible mess. All my necklaces are in that black and white Sephora box, which causes them to tangle up together. 

Korunurkkaukseni, mikä on yöpöytäni päällä sänkyni vieressä. Nurkkaus on ollu jo hetken aikaa ongelma, sillä korukokoelmani senkun kasvaa mutta säilytystilani eivät. On vaikeaa löytää haluamai korut ilman että täytyy käännellä kaikki pinot ja laatikot ylösalaisin aiheuttaen kauhean sotkun. Kaikki kaulakoruni ovat mustavalkoisessa Sephoran laatikossa, mikä aiheuttaa niiden sotkeutumisen keskenään. 

 My jewellery corner now. All the white boxes have their own category of jewelleries; first one on the left are for rings, middle for for bracelets, watches and choker necklaces and the last one for earrings aside to the ones that are hanging on the rack I made at school. I also added a box for all my nailpolishes, which is on the lower level of my nightstand. I added the hooks I bought to the corner of my bookshelf, and hanged most of my necklaces there so they can stay in order.

Korunurkkaukseni nyt. Kaikki valkoiset laatikot pitävät sisällään oman osaston koruista; ensimmäinen laatikko vasemmalla on sormuksille, keskimmäinen laatikko rannekoruille, kelloille sekä choker-kaulakoruille ja viimeinen laatikko korvakoruille niiden lisäksi mitkä roikkuvat telineessä minkä tein koulussa. Lisäsin myös yhden laatikon yöpöydän alemmalle tasolle missä on kaikki omistamani kynsilakat. Ruuvasin ostamani koukut kirjahyllyni reunalle, ja pistin suurimman osan kaulakorustani roikkumaan siihen jotta ne pysyisivät järjestyksessä.

My drawer, which is right next to my door. I keep all my make-up and other cosmetics here, but the problem is that they're just all over the place and just thrown around all the time. My make-up products are all in a bag which is now too small for them.

Lipastoni, mikä on heti oveni vieressä. Tässä säilytän kaikki meikkini ja muut kosmetiikkatuotteeni, mutta ongelma on se miten ne ei pysy järjestyksessä kun ne vaan vaeltelevat laatikoissa. Kaikki meikkini ovat yhdessä meikkipussissa mikä on nyt liian pieni niille.

My drawer now. I bought this lovely box with many separate parts inside, so now all my make-up and hair things are in order. I also added some boxes inside the drawer, so now the hair products are in one box and perfumes in another one. New candles are placed right next to the big box. 

Lipastoni nyt. Ostin tämän ihanan lokerikon missä on monta erillistä laatikkoa, joten nyt kaikki meikkini ja hiusjuttuni ovat järjestyksessä. Lisäsin myös hieman laatikoida lipaston sisälle, joten nyt hiusjutut ovat yhdessä laatikossa ja hajuvedet toisessa. Uudet tuikut kippoineen asettautuivat lokerikon viereen. 

After re-arranging my room nearly the whole day, I realized that I will be needing more of those little boxes so tomorrow I'll be heading back to Ikea, this time for a smaller visit. I was also thinking about buying more scented candles, as I fell in love with these browned coloured ones that smelled like apples and cinnamon - I just loved how they reminded me of Christmas.

I'm starting to feel more satisfied with my room now that I have the things I wanted and needed. I would still love a new, furry carpet, but it's not really on the top of my list right now. I think I coud do a room post soon since it has been requested several times at my old blog. Even though this isn't the fanciest room I've seen, it's fancy enough for me and I really do feel comfortable living here. How do you store small things in your room?

Tajusin huoneeni uudelleenjärjestämisen keskellä, että tarvitsen lisää noita pikkulaatikoita joten huomenna suuntaan takaisin Ikeaan, tällä kertaa vähän pienemmälle vierailulle. Ajattelin myös ostaa lisää tuoksukynttilöitä, sillä rakastuin eräisiin ruskeisiin kynttilöihin mitkä tuoksuivat omenilta ja kanelilta - rakastin niiden jouluista tuoksua. 

Alan olla yhä tyytyväisempi huoneeseeni nyt kun minulla on haluamani ja tarvitsemani asiat. Olisi ihanaa jos saisin uuden karvaisen maton, mutta se ei oikein ole tärkeintä tällä hetkellä. Luulen, että voisin tehdä huonepostauksen pian sillä se on ollu toivelistalla jo muutamia kertoja vanhan blogin puolella. Vaikka huoneeni ei ole hienoin huone minkä olen nähnyt, se on kuitenkin riittävä minulle ja viihdyn tässä pikku kopperossani oikein hyvin. Miten te säilytätte pieniä tavaroita huoneessanne?
