xmas presents

As I mentioned in yesterday's post, my gifts this year were far better than I had expected or even dared to dream of. I was really really happy of everything that I got, it was way more than I needed. I guess I've been really good this year! So here are the gifts of 2014;

Kuten mainitsin eilisen postauksessani, sain tänä vuonna lahjoja mitkä olivat paljon paremmat kuin mitä odotin tai edes uskalsin haaveilla saavani. Olen tainnut olla kiltisti tänä vuonna! Tässä vuoden 2014 joulun lahjat;

Super cute pajama pants and slippers from my mom. I've been living in these pants since I got them, and the slippers are super warm since it can get pretty cold in my mom's apartment. Love them!

Supersöpöt pyjamahousut ja tossut äidiltäni. Olen asunut näissä housuissa siitä asti kun sain ne, ja nämä tossut lämmittävät ihanasti kun äidin asunnossa on aika kylmä. Tykkään!

Beyoncé Heat Wild Orchid from my dad, yaay! I also got a taxi card, which has 50 euros loaded in and I think it might come in handy some night out clubbing. The alcohol and chocolate were from the cruise my dad went on a few days before Christmas, but at least I got my Christmas chocolate I wished for.

Beyoncé Heat Wild Orchid isältäni, jee! Sain myös taksikortin mihin on ladattu 50 euroa, ja uskon sen tulevan käyttöön viikonloppuöisin jos en pääse esimerkiksi bussilla enää kotiin. Suklaa ja alkoholit tulivat oikeastaan laivatuliaisina kun isäni oli laivalla muutama päivä ennen Joulua, mutta sainpahan sitä toivomaani Joulusuklaata.

 

Some kitchen equipment and Lexington oven mit from my dear friend. I love these, especially the oven mit since I once told her that I would buy it once I move to my own apartment. Now I don't have to, thanks to her <3

A bottle of red wine and a 50 euro gift card to K-Citymarket from my workplace! I was really flattered about the gift card since I didn't think that I would get one cause I'm pretty new there, but I guess hard work pays. 

Pullo punaviiniä ja 50 euron lahjakortti K-Citymarketiin työpaikaltani! Olin todella otettu lahjakortista, sillä en uskonut saavani sellaista kun olen sen verran uusi mutta kova työ palkitaan näköjään.

A selfie stick from my other friend! She completely read my mind cause I was thinking about suggesting it, but I didn't even have to cause I got it anyways. Thank you A <3

And last but not least, the present I got for myself since I've been working so much this fall (I don't know if you're supposed to show presents you buy for yourself, but I'm still going to haha) - a pair of Timberlands. I didn't want the short ones since I feel like they're quite popular now, but I haven't seen anyone with these so I knew they were perfect. Unique and beautiful, I love them so much and can't wait to wear them daily since the weather is perfect for that now!

Ja viimeisenä muttei vähäisimpänä, lahja minkä ostin itselleni syksyn kovan työmoraalin kunniaksi (en tiedä kuuluuko itselleen ostamiaan lahjoja esitellä mutta esittelempä kuitenkin, haha) - Timberlandit. En halunnut lyhytvartisia sillä koen niiden olevan melko suositut nyt, mutta näitä en ole nähnyt vielä kellään joten tiesin niiden olevan täydelliset mulle. Uniikit ja kauniit, tykkään näistä niin paljon enkä malta odottaa että pääsen käyttämään niitä päivittäin nyt kun sääkin on siihen täydellinen!

I got some other small things as well such as cosmetics and such which I didn't take pictures of. I just want to thank everyone for all the gifts I got, like I said they were everything and more than I wished for.

Hi guys and Happy Holidays! 

Christmas was really peaceful in our family - on Christmas Eve my mom and I made great food (although I was disappointed in the presentation of my cheesecake this year...), we watched some traditional Christmas programme and exchanged presents. My grandpa stayed the night at my dad's house so he wouldn't have to be alone during the holidays, and today we had a second meal with all the leftover's - and trust me when I say that there were plenty. 

I've been so happy and thankful for all the presents I got this year, they were much better than I had dared to wish for and I can't wait to share them with you guys in a gift post. It was also lovely to see how well I did with my own gifts, since everyone was really happy with what they got from me. I'm just waiting for my sister to receive her gifts via mail, since I think she will love them too. 

I'm so sorry for being such a lazy blogger - I've been working a lot and hard this past few weeks, and that with all the Christmas hassle and meetings with friends and old schoolmates has taken all extra time I could have putten into blogging. I've been trying to back up all the posts I had planned for this blog, so when you scroll down you should be able to see new posts. Be patient with me, I'm trying to get back on track!

what i want for xmas...

Christmas is in exactly one week (yikes!) and it's finally time to reveal my wish list for this year. Unlike the previous years where I have asked and dreamt of big presents, this year I'm more about simple, small gifts that I need but might not necessarily bother to get myself - meaning useful gifts that you love to get and hate to buy yourself. Since I am an adult with a pretty steady income I feel like I can buy whatever expensive and luxurious that I want for myself, and so it shouldn't be on the shoulders of my parents and other family members. So here is what I wish tosee under the Christmas tree this year:

Joulu on tasan viikon päästä (iik!) ja on vihdoinkin aika paljastaa toivelistani tälle vuodelle. Toisin kuin edellisinä vuosina jolloin olen aina toivonut kaikkea suurta, tämä vuonna olen paljon kiinnostuneempi pienistä, yksinkertaisista lahjoista joita tarvitsen mutta en välttämättä saa aikaiseksi itse hankkia - tarkoittaen hyödyllisiä lahjoja joita on ihana saada ja inhottavaa ostaa itse. Koska olen aikuinen jolla on suht tasaiset tulot koen, että voin ostaa omilla rahoillani kaiken kalliin mitä haluan ja himoitsen enkä aiheuttaa lahjatoiveillani turhaa stressia vanhemmilleni ja muille perheenjäsenilleni. Joten tässä tämän vuoden toiveeni:

Beyoncé Heat Wild Orchid is a new friend of mine that I've been craving for a few months now - oh how I hope to get this, the smell is so delicious and I am definitely in need of new perfumes! 

Beyoncé Heat Wild Orchid on uusi tuttavuus mitä olen himoinnut jo monta kuukautta - voi miten ihanaa olisi jos tämä paljastuisi lahjapaketista, tuoksu kun on niin herkullinen ja olen ehdottomasti uusien hajuvesien tarpeessa!

A new set of pajamas is on my wishlist too, since I've been rocking the same PJ's since 8th grade and now they have a giant hole on them...my biggest wish would be something in flanell, soft and comfy! Also any other type of PJ's, slippers and lingerie are more than welcomed...

Uusi pyjamasetti on myös toivelistalla, sillä suosikkipyjamani joita olen käyttänyt 8. luokalta asti ovat söpösti reikiintyneet...suurin toiveeni olisi saada ihanan pehmeä flanellipyjama, mutta mikä tahansa yöpuku, tossut tai alusvaatteet ovat enemmän kuin tervetulleita...

Cosmetics and body products are always lovely to receive, since I love pampering myself and palying around with scrubs and face masks! Freeman is my favorite brand in masks and scrubs and I have plenty of their products, but I'm pretty much good to go with anything.

Kosmetiikka ja ihonhoitotuotteet ovat aina mieluisia lahjoja, sillä rakastan itseni hemmottelua ja erilaisilla kuorinnoilla ja kasvonaamioilla leikkimistä! Freeman on suosikkimerkkini naamiaisissa ja kuorinnoissa ja multa löytyykin jo useampi purkki heiltä, mutta kaikki merkit ovat toivottuja.

Moomin cups and bowls to be added to my collection. I wouldn't mind receiving anything else relating to home decor...

Muumimukit ja -kulhot kokoelmaani kartuttamaan. En pistäisi kyllä pahakseni saada muitakin koti- ja keittiötarvikkeita...

Chocolate, more specifically Fazer's Christmas chocolate. The reason why I added a picture of Geisha is because I thought it matched better with the rest of the collage, haha!

Suklaa, erityisesti Fazerin Joulusuklaa mikä on jokavuotuinen suosikkini. Lisäsin kuvan Geishasta sillä se sopi paremmin muun kollaasin kanssa yhteen, haha!

Hi guys!

Work has had me super busy especially for the past 2 weeks, but this week started out great with two days off that I have spent basically doing nothing at all. Today I met up with Pauliina to take some photos, but it was getting dark which explains the not-so-great quality of these pictures - sorry about that.

I finally got the chance to wear my ALEXANDER WANG x H&M gloves which the lovely Jontte ordered online for me - I've been really thinking hard about what I could wear them with, since they are so long and really can't be seen under any jackets and I don't own a black poncho (yet...). Today I decided to wear them with this biker-styled jacket with the sleeves rolled up, and I thought it looked pretty good! What do you guys think?

I don't think I've showed you guys these leather boots of mine before here, but they were a real bargain I found online. The quality is amazing and they are beautifully hand made in Spain! The brand Sixtyseven was new for me, but I now know where to turn to when looking for classy quality shoes.

Tomorrow I'll go back to work again, but I hope to be able to take more outfit pics before the end of this week. Let's see how it goes!

Hei kaikki!

Töissä on ollut ihan superkiireistä erityisesti viimeiset 2 viikkoa, mutta tää viikko alkoi kivasti kahden päivän vapaalla jotka olen käyttänyt tehokkaasti tekemättä yhtään mitään. Tänään nähtiin Pauliinan kanssa kuvienottomerkeissä, mutta ulkona alkoi olla jo sen verran pimeää mikä selittää ei-niin-hyvän laadun näissä kuvissa - pahoittelut siitä.

Sain vihdoinkin tilaisuuden pistää ALEXANDER WANG x H&M hanskani, jotka ihana Jontte oli minulle netistä tilannut - olen miettinyt jo pienen aikaa minkä kanssa yhdistäisin ne, sillä hanskat ovat sen verran pitkät etteivät näy tavallisten takkien alta ja multa ei löydy mustaa ponchoa (vielä..). Tänään päätin pukea hanskat mustan biker-tyylisen villakangastakkini kanssa takin hihat käärittyinä ja mielestäni se näytti aika kivalta! Mitä mieltä siellä ollaan?

En ole tainnut muistaakseni esitellä teille näitä ihania nahkanilkkureitani ennen, mutta kyseessä on todellinen löytö netin syövereistä. Laatu näissä on aivan mahtava ja ne ovat upeasti käsintehdyt Espanjassa! Merkki Sixtyseven ei ollut entuudestaan tuttu, mutta nyt tiedän minne kääntyä kun kaipaan klassisen tyylikkäitä ja laadukkaita kenkiä. 

Huomenna on taas paluu arkeen ja töihin, mutta toivottavasti saan aikaiseksi ottaa lisää asukuvia ennen tämän viikon loppua. Katsotaan miten käy!
